About – Zion Ministries

Welcome to Zion Ministries

At Zion Ministries, we believe the Bible is the foundation and standard of our faith and understanding. Our desire is to faithfully teach the truth of God’s Word, preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and encourage believers to grow in the knowledge of Him. Through teaching, prayer, evangelism, and ministry to those in need, we seek to serve wherever God opens the door and to point people to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Mission

At Zion Ministries, our mission is to declare Jesus Christ to all unto whom the Lord sends us, carrying the good news of the Gospel at home and around the world, and fulfilling His commission to preach the Gospel to every creature.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
— Mark 16:15

Our Foundation

We believe the Word of God is to be the foundation of all that we preach and teach. We desire to remain faithful to the Scriptures, looking to them as the final authority for our faith, doctrine, and walk with God.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
— Matthew 4:4

Our Hope

We look for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the gathering together of His people unto Him. This is the blessed hope of all who believe, and we desire to live faithfully before Him as we look for His appearing.

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
— Titus 2:13

Meet Our Leaders

Michael Schmidt

My passion is to teach the Scriptures and help others discover the unfolding purpose of God revealed throughout His Word.

I believe the Bible is one unified revelation of God’s eternal purpose, beginning with creation, unfolding through the covenants, and finding its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

At the heart of my teaching is the conviction that the testimony of Jesus Christ is the central theme of all Scripture. From Genesis to Revelation, the Scriptures bear witness to Him, revealing His person, His work, and the fulfillment of God’s purpose through Him.

Through Zion Ministries, my desire is to encourage believers to search the Scriptures, allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture and recognizing Christ as the foundation upon which all biblical truth must be understood.

Above all, my aim is not simply to communicate biblical knowledge, but to point people to Jesus Christ, in whom all the promises and purposes of God find their fulfillment.

Waqas

Waqas has faithfully served the Lord in Faisalabad, Pakistan, ministering to children and families throughout the surrounding communities. His work has included house-to-house ministry, gospel meetings, Bible teaching, prayer for the sick, and helping those in need.

Together with his wife, Mary, Waqas helped establish Children of Zion in January 2024 and continues to oversee and support the work of the school. We are thankful for his dedication to sharing the Gospel, his care for the children, and his faithful service in the work God has entrusted to him.

Mary

Mary has faithfully served alongside her husband, Waqas, in Faisalabad, Pakistan, ministering to children and families in their community. She has played an important role in the work of Children of Zion since the school began in 2024 and continues to help care for and encourage the children.

Mary also serves in gospel meetings, women’s ministry, Bible teaching, and prayer, and has helped translate during live gospel meetings. We are thankful for her faithful service, her heart for the people of Pakistan, and the many ways she continues to be a blessing to the ministry and the children of Children of Zion.
