Jesus sets the captives free

Two young sisters in Pakistan, Pari and Roshni, have experienced tremendous sorrow at a very young age.

Pari is five years old, and Roshni is just four. Both girls are orphans, having lost their mother and father. They are now being raised by their grandmother, Rani.

Having already experienced the loss of their parents and grandfather, the girls were deeply affected by fear and sorrow.

One of the little girls was especially troubled. She lived in constant fear that something terrible might happen to her grandmother, the one person she had left to care for her.

She cried frequently, struggled to interact with others, and became withdrawn. She would sit quietly, looking at the faces of those around her, afraid to speak. Her fear and sadness had become so overwhelming that she no longer wanted to attend school.

But God had not forgotten these little girls.

The Power of Prayer

When their situation was shared with our ministry partners in Pakistan, prayer was offered for the children, asking the Lord Jesus Christ to comfort their hearts and deliver them from the fear and sorrow that had overtaken their lives.

And the Lord began to work in their lives!

Today, their grandmother shares a very different testimony.

The girls who had once been overwhelmed by sorrow are now playing, learning, and enjoying their childhood again.

They are attending Sunday school, studying the Word of God, and memorizing Scripture.

The little girl who had once been so frightened and withdrawn has begun to overcome her fears and participate in life again.

When their grandmother shared this testimony, her eyes filled with tears of joy.

She was overwhelmed with gratitude to God for the change she had witnessed in her grandchildren.

What had once been a home filled with fear and sorrow was now experiencing renewed joy and hope.

To God be the glory!

Jesus Christ Still Delivers!

Perhaps you are reading this testimony today, and you recognize something of your own struggles in the lives of these little girls.

Maybe you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or fear. Perhaps you have experienced great loss, and the weight of sorrow has become more than you feel you can bear.

We want you to know that Jesus Christ has the power to set you free!

The same Lord who brought comfort and hope into the lives of these children is able to work in your life as well.

Jesus declared:

John 8:36

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.”

The Lord Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil and to deliver those who are held in bondage.

Hebrews 2:14–15

“That through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

Fear does not have to rule your life. Sorrow does not have to be your master. The power of the devil is not greater than the power of Jesus Christ!

Jesus came to bring freedom to those who are bound, hope to those who are suffering, and life to those who turn to Him.

Matthew 11:28

“Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

There Is Hope for You Today

If you are struggling with fear, anxiety, depression, or the weight of life’s circumstances, we encourage you to turn your heart toward Jesus Christ.

Call upon His name. Bring your burdens before Him. Trust in His power to save and deliver you.

You do not have to overcome these things by your own strength.

The Lord who heard the prayers offered for Pari and Roshni is the same Lord who hears those who call upon Him today.

Their testimony is a reminder that Jesus Christ is still working in people’s lives, bringing freedom where there was bondage, peace where there was fear, and joy where there was sorrow.

And what He has done for others, He is able to do for you.

Romans 10:13

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
